I am looking at 2 options right now. A 03 Black GST with 17k miles i'm not sure on the options its just been phone talk. But did the 03 come with Sun / Sound / or Leather option? I am looking for 24,500 out the door is this a good price?
Also is it worth saving say $7000 on an 03 compared to getting a new 04 or 05?



Last night I was at JBA Mitsubishi in Glen Burnie, MD what a joke first of all. I was trying to get a 04 Black with Sun / Sound / Leather for $31,500 out the door which is still way over invoice. And they basically kicked me out for making a "unheard of" offer. To beat it all there unheard of offer to me was 15,000 for an 04 WRX with 14k miles...Where Subaru has already guaranteed 20,500 for my car *sheesh*

So my question is it crazy to think I can get an 04 for 31,500 out the door? I mean its an 04 and the 05's are already out and have more power. Not to mention I have noticed 3 people on this board getting 05's out the door for 31,500. And a few for 30,500. Is this dealership just really bad at doing buisness or am I expecting to much? I have never been treated so bad in all my life at any dealership. They would not even let me test drive the car which frustrated me to all end. Needless to say Mitsu is getting a call on them today.

If anyone can recommend a dealership in the MD / VA / DE / NJ area where you have gotten a car for 30,500 or 31,500 out the door please let me know.
And if you know of a dealership with a Black 05 in those areas I would really apprecaite it being, that its hunt and miss using mitsu's really bad website to find the cars.

Lastly sorry, is the Leather, Sound really worth the extra 2,500 dollars? I mean my WRX sound system is horrible but since the dealership did not bother to even turn on the Infinity system I did not get to hear it.

York Mitsubishi in York PA has good pricing and are easy to deal with. They are only 1 hour North of Baltimore

Maybe you mean GSR? 03s didn't come with sun/sound/leather as it wasn't an option until 04. $24,500 is a decent price IMO. Personally I don't think SSL is worth $2,500 but that's just me. If you want a sunroof then it's the only way to go really.

Getting an 04 for $31,500 out the door should be relatively east. My 03 was cheaper than that (I know the 04s are slightly more expensive, but not that much) and I could have got it even cheaper had I been in the mood to haggle for a few hours. Personally, I'd get an 05 simply for the front LSD and ACD.

I think, right now, with so few of them on the lots it would be difficult. All it takes is finding the right dealership and, in my experience, that's gonna be tricky.

 

if you are willing to take a trip to Boston I'm sure the dealer I just bought my 04 from can give you a simular deal... I got my 04 GSR w/ sun, sound, and leather package for 30,150 OTD. shoot me a PM if your interested.

If the dealer has a lot of 05's then you should probably be able to get an 04 for near invoice- Just stick to your guns and deal away! I would go late in the day or near end of month to bargain though.
