I kind of took offence to what they are saying but I don’t want to say anything because I don’t own or driven and Evo though I would love to.

I bet they've all been embarassed by a DSM or two and they'd be foolish to think the Evo won't be faster and better handling. Most of them seem to understand the idea that it's going to give them a run for their money at least, but there seem to be a few who just don't want to hear it and therefore will not hear it. I don't remember if Score's sig still says it, but it at least used to say something to the effect of: "You can present the information to me, but you can't make me care." That seems to be the case here as well. No sense in raising a stink, just let them take a few losses and wise up.

That guy with the "television manufacturer" comment should probably realize that Mitsubishi has a long history in the automotive AND aviation world aside from their electronics divisions. Pig-headedness gets you nowhere.

No wonder you’re a Moderator. That’s why I enjoy coming here; it’s a very sensible and respectful place.

Here's my thing: I love how one of them says "only" 2 liters... I mean, come on, let's talk efficiency and performance.

Also, about the crack about the telelvision manufacturers... little do most domestic boys know, but, at the beginning, all of Ford's motors (from the model T!) were made by.... drumroll please... mitsubishi. So, I guess that means the the basis for all domestic vehicles is basically crap too.

Why even worry about it? Evo's not made for the straight line, it's for the rally, where Mitsu will whoop some ***.

It's not the point. It's just retarded. I mean, you have an all around performance machine like the Evo, and these high-displacement, no technology, knuckledragging boneheads think that because their car has two doors and less-than-50hp-per-liter (hell, the US Lancer does better than that!) that it's so much better than the Evo. What a load of crap. That, and the whole thing with them complaining about plastic cladding... good Christ, GM INVENTED plastic cladding.

Ok boys and girls, can you say, "Redneck?"

Yeah, somebody should inform the one guy that Mistusbishi was making fighter aircraft in WW2 that were SERIOUSLY outperforming a lot of what we had at the time! The Zero comes to mind as one of the fastest planes of WW2. Mitsubishi also made this wonderful little twin turbo that Billy Joe Bob ain't heard of: a 3000 GT!

And yeah, I suppose our Evo's are going to be pretty plasticky when compared with those upscale Bentley rivals, the Firebird and Camaro! Damn Camaro has a plastic front end!

<whew> That links going to provide me a good laugh for the next three days!

Well, that was amusing. I think we should get that little Rice Smiley. Other than that, there's not much but a bunch of people who really don't want to listen anyway.

Ah yes, likewise funny how EVO is ugly when compared to a FIREBIRD!!!? Yes, redneck mentality. I work with lots of them. You should see them in their natural habitat. Mating rituals are quite extraordinary.

Reminds me of another post I saw... somebody's friend said that the Mustang would be faster than the EVO because it has two doors and that means sportier.

Where can I find proof of this? This would of course seriously undermine a lot of American's faith in the home team.

I had read it on a Mitsubishi history site... I can't find it anymore, but, I'm sure that it's somewhere. I was actually looking for the history behind the triad symbol, so, I read it, absorbed, and moved onto more sites in order to try and find the information I had set out for. Wish I could give you better info.

Did I mention that I live in RURAL Ohio? My neighbors LITERALLY chase sheep for fun. Why? The world may never know. But I do know that these people like their Rustangs.
