Is the "4k rollover" the gap between the value of a trade-in and what you owed on it? If so, I wouldn't count that towards what you paid for the car, it's financing the debt for another car.

Beans Mitsubishi in Doylestown, PA is selling a gray MR for MSRP + $5k "limited edition". They had two and sold one, not sure if they got $40k for it. The regular EVO can be had for $500 over invoice at local dealers.

if anyone wants one that bad we have a graphite showing up any day that we are selling for MSRP in Virginia which is a little unusual. It seems like most of the experiances other members are having always include large bump stickers. Any one want it Pm me because the buyer for it backed out. We also still have an 04 RS (red) if anyone is interested.

You get more for your money going with a (everyone will hate me now) an 2005 Subaru STI.. I love my evo.. but the MR is a joke here.. but if ya have the money and ya want the bling go for it...
The MR a joke? Please. Just because people have the money to spend on a car doesn't mean that they want it. I've got more than enough to buy some hot BMW to make all the tennis players jelious (sp?), an Audi S4 to make my dad jelous (sp?), Hell, I could probably even walk away with a 911 if I wanted to. But the point is that I want a Lancer Evolution, and if I'm going to buy one, I'll buy the limited one just on the basis of it being limited, or the black wheels, or the 6MT, or the stupid nipples they put on the back or whatever. The Evo MR still beats the STi, but not by much. They're both good cars, but I don't know that price is really much of a factor when deciding between these two particular cars, even with 3 trim models of the EVO.

I mean, do you really think that people bought the '04 Evo over the '04 STi to save the bucks?

I believe msrp is very fair for any car that is hot. I like to get below, but will never pay more than msrp. even here in hawaii, try to negotiate, maybe they ordered too many and there is not too much interest in your area

I gotta agree w/ you. that is why i bought ssl 05, i just didn't think the u.s. spec mr is worth the extra dough. Kinda reminds me when they first brought the Lancer name to u.s., they made the OZ Rally edition, a lancer in name but a lot of people bought it even though you would never take it near a rally.
I personally think they should've at least gave the my AYC to differentiate it more from the regular evo's.
