If you like portable, I will recommend Garmin Street Pilot 26XX. I can take the GPS with me on any car for any roadtrip.

Pioneer N1 is a great DVD/Nav system a little pricy but nice.

thePioneer AVCIN-1 has my eye at the moment. bit on the expensive side, but loads of features

the pioneer is great but for audio sound the alpine takes the lead and the new pulse touch is awsome.

I have not seen the alpine yet. all of the added features in the N1 makes me interested in it. if the alpine has the same/similar features i would deffinitly jump on it

think of this, the n1 is pio's top of line and the alpine I suggested is alpines 2nd of line. If the alpine I suggested doesnt tickel your fancey the top of line alpine will and it still cheaper than the pio and has the best resolution for a screen that size at 1.15 million pixals and latest in sound quality.

note also I dont work for alpine so im not being bias to them, I was just in the same situation and doing TONS of research that what I came up with.

I have the Pioneer AVIC N1 in my evo and I love it. you can pick one up for about $1800 installed.

Plenty scroll up someone posted one that you can switch from car to car ..

Also - my vote goes for the Pioneer also ...
