so today (monday) I dropped by HQ again to see if anything's new.

Pulled into the parking lot around 2pm in afternoon. I noticed that there are about twice as many cars parked there. I could not find a place to park. Cars are parked everywhere, even next to the street. I sense something important going on.

The first place I check is always their back-garage. Sometimes they are closed, sometimes they are opened. Today, 1 of the 3 garage doors is open half way up. (Actually, 3 garage doors all belong to same garage). I noticed ALOT of people in there, surrounding a few cars. The car closest to where I can see...... I don't know what it is, but it looks like a small sedan with an open hood that has EVO-7 looklike vents. It COULD be the EVO, because I don't think anything else Mitsubishi is that size and has a vented bonnet.

Then before I left I noticed a fairly large SUV. Front looks like a mix between Montero and Outlander, but too big to be Outlander. Might be the new SUV that's between Montero and Outlander.

Too bad didn't have my camera today. My brother borrowed it.

 

I think the SUV you might have seen is referred to as the 5KRPM (or some ****) Concept stateside. Overseas, it's known as the latest incarnation of the Pajero Evolution. That'd be my guess.

 

My guess is he saw the Endeavor, the new SUV positioned between the Montero Sport and the Montero. Unless it was really weird and funky looking with that burt orange color, then I guess it was 7KRPM (or whatever) The other kinda EVO car might have been the uber-OZ we're up in arms about. Security is really tight about those two cars, they've told us zippo - make sure those security Ninjas don't catch you. If you see a black Diamante parked outside your house every night, I'd start to worry.

 

Yes, what you described sounds exactly like the Endeavor. The other car had to be an Evolution. I know they have at least 1 Evo 8 there, as how I know someone who actually sat in it.

 

If that's the Endeavor then that means I'll be seeing it more in the near future. As for the souped-up Lancer, it COULD be just an upscale Lancer but I think a better Lancer won't have hood-vents like the EVO. My bet is on the EVO.

I'm looking out of my window right now and I see 2 black Montero Sports and a black Diamonte. Hope I get to post tomorrow morning


I seriously need to borrow my friend's Lancer to do my spywork from now on. They are probably very familiar with my car now.

yes it was something very similar to it. I was too far away from it to actually get a detailed look, but with all these Outlanders and Monteros parked in the parking lot, I could easily tell that it's not either of those.

I think it's about the same size as these pics. It's black also.

I bought some binoculars, but they don't zoom enough. It brings a car that's 10 ft. away from me to about 5 ft. to me. That's about all it can do.

I don't think binoculars would work. The main garage is blocked by many cars parked. If I get any more farther back, even more cars will block me and I can't see a thing.

here's the overhead map of the inspected area. The big grey area on top is the garage. 2 blue doors are shut, the red door is 1/2 opened. Many cars are parked nearby, and the bushes were pretty tall, so I was only able to see the opened hood on the possible EVO (because of the vented bonnet)

Then I exited from the left, and that's when I saw that possible Endeavor.
