2- Variable camshafts exhaust and intake. Better driveability, better low end torque, better top end power, better mid range power, fuel economy.
3- Variable intake manifold: Better low end torque, similar results as variable camshafts.
4- Bilstein shocks standard in all EVO models.
5- A completely new High tech clutch: Soft, hold 450hp, NO noisy, strong.
6- New exhaust desing: No needs to spend US500 in a new exhaust system
7- 3000lbs maximum
8- Special kit developed by Ralliart for those unsatisfied with standard power levels. I mean POWER KIT = No need to tune the car. Plug and Play stuff.
9- Turbo gauge standard in all EVO models
10- Standard power = 350HP. Not so difficult for Mitsubishi. Power kit = 450HP

Mitsubishi has to run fast and improve the EVO without ask more than 30K. I'm seeing many companies improving their cars and putting high amount of horsepower. Wait for a 4.0Liter Nissan 350Z maybe a 400Z, SLK350, RS3 V6 bi-turbo, Acura 300hp, Volvo S40R 340hp, Porsche Boxter S 290hp, BMW 330 performance package with 280Hp, New M3 V8 etc etc etc

If you agree or disagree or have another things to add please feel free to reply!

1. maybe...but they wont do that without $$$ increase...smog is also another issue
2. mivec would be good isnt the IX supposed to have it>?
3. it would be wither 2 or 3 ill say 2 is better
4. again will cause price to go up but you never know
5. they do need to work on that tho there are people that have ran their car for almost 2 years and no clutch a tcase problems...maybes its the driver?...maybe not...you never know...mitsu clutches just suck
6. no for smog reasons...other word it wont happen
7. isnt the IX supposed to be lighter
8. agian smog comes into play...and most people will not want to pay close to 50,000 for an evo
9. why?...your gonna replace it anyway
10. 4banger with 350hp... smog reasons again..evo is already pushing the line when it comes to smog...350hp will probably not pass

In case you didn't notice, all those cars that got more horsepower all had an increase of price.

The Evo has more horsepower per liter of any car in the world (stock) I think that's a pretty good building block to work with.

If you aren't happy with you're Evo, sell it?

Obviously you aren't from the U.S., so why didn't u just get something good from wherever u are.

P.S.-Anyone can afford a Ferrari, it just has to deal with making payments. I doubt u can outright own a Ferrari and own a house or support a family

P.S.S- Sometimes you sound really stupid

what k270kmh says will happen one day...just not anytime soon. I mean...from evo 1 to now evo 8....it did went through a lot of changes. All cars go through changes as time moved on. someday, maybe a civic will come standard with 300bhp...just not anytime soon.

How about we just ask them to stand behind their warranties? They can't really say no since they are preaching so much about the best backed cars in the world.

That's not impossible. The current standard non-turbo impreza weighs less than 3000lbs. My WRX weighs 3065lbs. They both have great safety standards.

2.5 of STi is the reason i dump it and got MR..... that think don't make sense, itself isolates from rally inspired cars. making the car heavier and a little more torque for daily driving.
yes, it should be stronger, faster, but not with too much power that amateurs don't know what they are doing with their cars. if u want more power and more power, go for something else and change it every year. A good car has to be 1 reliable, 2. with potential 3. proven performance. EVO and WRX both have these 3 criterias with rally-specs (limited to 2.0) STi is now in a different league, STi leaves the rally family

like some have said, if you really want a 2.5liter + boost gauge, why don't you just go straight to subaru? The 2.0 liter works just fine for the evo as is. Or.. you can just think american, and http://www.corvettels7.com/

As someone has already mentioned, the cars that you mentioned not only improved upon different areas but also the price also increased. So yea, mitsu can include many stuff in the EVO, but you think it will be a 30k car. Maybe 35K??? Ah...news for you....how about 50k!! So you think mitsu is in the business of trying to make a ultimate car so people can buy it at 50K??? No, they are trying to make a great car and still sell it at a price people are willing to pay.

One of the reason why when they exported the EVO to US, it didn't come with all the stuff that the JDM EVO came with is because the EVO doesn't only cost 30k in Japan.

This post is ignorant. Be more realistic here. You are trying to build your own dream car here.

I would definitely say that the US has been screwed over in what they have been supplied with regarding the EVO 8 Specs. Here in New Zealand, we have had the higher spec for the Evo 8 (276hp, 6 Speed & ACD) but I am not sure how the price compares between here and the US. The Evo 8 is also now being sold with an FQ 300 upgrade. Currently an Evo 8 FQ-300 (300bhp) sells for US$46000 here.

The one surpise is that is sounds like the US WRX STI is a 2.5 litre where it is a 2 litre here.
