Yea mine came off the truck with them. I don't know why they didn't use the ones that go on the inside of the rim.

would they scratch the rim or leave a mark when removed? I've only had the stick on weights when I balanced my wheels in my previous cars.

my 03 nrml evo had these on the rims from factory, when I finally had them rebalanced and the weights were taken off I was left with indentions on my rims from where they were presse on so hard, I suggest taking them off immediately or talking to your dealership about doing it for you so if there are marks on your rims they will be able to verify this and report it.

Yes, it is, and they do it on purpose.

This is, by far, the best and safest way to balance tires. No, it is NOT rim-friendly. But wheels and tires are "consumables" for a car such as this.

The EVO is a performance car, pure and simple. Stick on weights flying off at 100+mph speeds is dangerous - period. The coated clamp on weights is the only way my good tire store will balance my track tires - street tires they don't care, but my Victoracers they insist on the safest way.

I talked to a wheel shop and they try not to do that. They were telling me that the modern tires and some of the tires that's out dont need those as well as install differently because the structure of the tires seal the tire from the second wall inside the rim, or something in that line.

whatever... I wonder if other high performance car come with those, cause it's a shame to see a mark on that nice BBS rims. They're not cheap like enkies...

Hey plokivos, really what are the actual weight differences? I'm just function over form and vanity that's all.
