I am not a dealership employee, but I would like to make one point about buying a car. With an EVO you definately want to have a good relationship with your dealer. Let em make a few bucks on the sale and it can pay off big time when it comes time for the dealership to go to bat with mitsu on a warranty claim or something.

I'm putting on my nomex now, because I can feel it coming. Posts like "they should stand behind their product no matter what" etc.

I paid 500 off MSRP for an 04 car that I special ordered, knowing that I was going to have to have the car serviced at the dealership I bought it from. Its been well worth the little bit of extra money. In my case, if I'm pressed for time the sales manager will send someone to pick up my car do service work, detail the car, and drive it back to me. Now thats service.
thats not service thats your ****ing crazy...when I leave the lot the dealer never touches my car again, especially drive it around town all clean. Hell no!!

Check this post this guy got offered an MR for 31K so you guys tell me I am smokin crack for asking 31K for a 04 GSR. Only reason I dont buy the MR is I want the leather with the Tarmac Black. I dont like the other seats that much and the only MR color I like is the red. Looked at all of them yesterday and the Gray is different but not as eyecatching as Black would be.

I highly doubt that post is legit .... I think there may be some miscommunication there as in regular GSR was mistaken for MR, don't believe everything you read on the internet. The reason being I know there are people on waiting lists for the MR, so wouldn't it make more sense for the dealership to trade with another dealership that have people waiting instead of selling for a loss? Do trust me talk to Fireball, one of our moderators ...

I agree with you, you could probably get 04s for under invoice and regular 05 GSR for slightly over invoice but it is probably rare to get an MR for close to invoice .... good luck tho and let us know if you find a good deal

Anyone else have an opinion before I decide to maybe go buy a subaru cause they offered 500 over invoice on an 05 STI.
You and the Sti were made for each other. It's a great car. Leave the Evo's alone.

Its a very small dealership that I live very close to. When they do this its the sales manage who leaves his 600 whp mustang at my house. I'm not too worried that he's going to beat on my stock evo.

You're smoking crack you cheap S.O.B. It's no wonder Mitsu is in financial trouble. Do you think they work for free? Keep driving from dealer to dealer until you get an '04 or '05 for under invoice. PM me when you lap the country and end up where you started again...
