Like I said...I drove the car for about 20 minutes (in traffic, deserted streets and hwy) and the clutch felt great with good grip. From my butt meter...it felt fine. I also inquired if they would offer the Mitsu pre-owned 100,000 mile extended warranty. They said no problem.

Do you think I still need to bring it to another shop for inspection?

If you get the MR I would go over every inch of that car with a fine tooth comb. Something isn't right.

I am the one who offered cash. I have bought all my cars cash. Trust me...dealers love cash!! Plus they can't screw with you if you control the purchase...if they provide the financing...they are in control.

I plan on it. Let's see if they resond to my email requesting the offer in writing. If they do, I will be all over the MR inspection.

NO! NO! you buy the 03 GSR and I'll buy the MR, which part of that didn't you get?

Seriously though, I spoke to my dealership and he said there are no more MRs and the one that I ordered is among the last made for this year, this coming straight from the district reps mouth. I don't see any reason why he would be lying to me, since I am already buying. But who knows ... I don't think your dealership will be able to get any more 05 MRs allocated as has stopped production. Unless they are 06s??? I guess time will tell ....

if you already got the price of 20g for the gsr, why spend another 11 for the mr. You can take the extra 11 and really do some work on the gsr.

We start discussing the purchase of the car and I tell them I don't need their financing...as I will pay cash. All of a sudden, the moods shifts. The sales person immediately leaves and brings in the dealership GM. He walk up and states, "...So you want to pay cash...how about I give you the MR instead for $31,000?" My initial reaction was that of shock, since I have read numerous forum posting of what the dealers are asking for the MR's. I told them I would sleep on it and let my friends a the forum give me their perspective.

So what do you think...it he is full of it...or, should I jump at the opportunity?

Hey, I got an e-mail from Huntington Mitsubishi... almost the same deal!!!

Either deal is like winning the Evo dealer lottery, take both and sell one.
