I wouldn't trade it if I were you GTO might be good in a line but it still can't handle

 

A Z06 will own anything here (CTS-V included). For the money, it is a monster. Whether you autocross, road race, drag race, street race, cruise, whatever, it is a beast. I would get one myself, but I hate all GM interiors. Too bad they can't make a decent steering wheel (even on the C6).

My other big issue with the GTO: They had to REALLY compromise the trunk space for the fuel tank since the Aussie regs are different than the US. The fuel tank eats up what you think would be a big trunk.

 

I think that the 05 GTO is going to have the LS6 engine Z06 in other words, same as cts-v. ***** to the wall, but I would go EVO. I have a mustang setup for road racing and it is not even close to the fun of the EVO. I think the EVO is magical.

 

ive been in a couple of gto's and i have raced 3, 1 with out my s/c and 2 with, beat the first one by about a car and a half, then with the s/c about 4 cars both times... while they look awsome and are great cars , i dont have a thing for them and dont think they are that fast... for that money you could have many things that are nicer anc faster i.e corvette
