Would you use this ground kit?

found this on ebay. it's awfully cheap. but if you look at the pics it seems like a nice setup. i've been looking at the hks set but i can't figure out if it's really worth a hundred more bux. what do you guys think??? i'm just use to the saying you get what you pay for.

What kind of car is this going into? There's the whole "why put anything cheap into car?" considering you're driving a $30k car. Personally, there are ones cheaper than that on EBAY... If you're really after saving money, try doing a searh on "circle earth." You'll find the $5.00 ones and it'll be cheaper than the one you have a link to after you figure in tax, and shipping.

it's for an evo. 5 bux? that's a little too cheap. it's not about saving money, it's just is the hks kit really worth the extra dough?

HKS the only way to go...............The Ebay ones might work, sort of. The ends are crimped on. They probably wont last very long, kind of like putting on a cheap battery cable or something. Also they are a universal kit, not really made EVO specific so you might have a problem trying to intall because the length isnt right. Besides, the HKS's are so bright and shiney

^Why is HKS the only way to go???? No offense, but crimped ends dont mean that they are going to desintigrate in a year lol w/ HKS your only paying for the cute purple look......do a search on EvoM for someone who makes grounding wires for the Evo....the quality of the wire equals/surpases those of the higher price.....and im talking about using deoxy wires with terminals and lengths made to fit

As far as the ones on Ebay, ive never heard anything about them since no body has spoken up to using them.

The HKS is more than a "cute purple look". All connections are gold plated (better contact - less corrosion), and the terminals at the ends of the cables are soldered; crimped ends will eventually lead to problems. or at the very least probably dont conduct as well. With the vent on top off the Evo hood there is a lot of water and crap that gets all over everything including the battery terminals. There are other grounding kits that probably work as well but your not going to find them on Ebay for $20.

i have that kit in my car right now. as far as making a difference, i think i gained some MPG and the idle is smoother, but has a couple quirks. other than that, i don't see much of a difference. i only put it in for engine dress-up, didn't really expect it to do anything. the quality of the wires is somewhat questionable as one of the crimps came loose in the box, but otherwise, it's pretty solid. the lengths are "almost" perfect and i hit all the ground points almost dead on. get some zip ties and you're set.

HoLeeRay, so you have the ebay kit on your car or the one that abusivewombat sells? I haven't heard of anyone complaining about his kits.

the one that's linked at the top. i've been driving pretty rough lately and it's been holding up, even with the bucking engine, haha. i mean, it's a grounding kit, wires and a junction, how much of a difference could quality make unless you're talking about the thing falling apart? and like i said, mine's been pretty solid so far.
