Yes, I like sunroofs. Won\'t make that much performance gain. Not road racing anyways.

Is it a sunroof or a moonroof? Does it retract all the way back or just lift up a couple of inches?

Have one. Overall I like it. When it's tilted back it's great to get fresh air in the car w/o the buffeting and noise of opening a window. Consequently you get some creaks and groans when turning sharply and going up a steep rise or something.

Coming from a soft top Jeep, I need something to let some air in. For most, their EVOs are driven on the street for commuting way more often than the tracks.

I had to compromise, if we didn't get an Evo with a moonroof, my wife would have pushed harder for a Mini (yuck) or a G35 Coupe (not too bad). I lowered the car to compensate for the top-heaviness.

Let's see...more weight, more money, less rigidity, less headroom add that all up and then add the heat gain from the Texas sun...I'm not seeing the positives!

I love my sunroof. I think if you're not going to use it as an actual race car, it's a great option. Nothin' like the weather bein' 70 degrees, sunroof open, cruisin' along...

I have one problem with mine though. If I have the glass shut and the shade open, it creaks real bad, close the shade and it goes away. Anyone else have that? Colder temps make the problem worse obviously... Just curious.

i don't miss the sunroof, cuz my friend Joe has one on his and he doesn't have the nifty sunglasses/condom/rolling papers holder above the window.

EDIT: Although having the windows down on the Evo brings in too much air for some reason, and perhaps the sunroof would let in some air, but not too much. Whatever, to each his/her own!
