I hope some 1 could help me answer this question is it possible have the dealership install the leather package on the MR ? has any 1 who bought the MR asked b4? cause i really love them leather seats and i won't mind paying extra for it...or is it possible to order just the parts and install it yourself?

 

Just order the seats and do it yourself...then sell your seats on the forums or on ebay...you wont lose too much cash.

Has anyone priced the leather seats and where you could get them. Thats one of the main reasons I am looking at the GSR instead of the MR.

The "leather" package also has leather above the armrests on the doors if i'm not mistaken.

 

you can do leather...but it will no way look like the 5spd Evo with the leather package. the dealer will send out ur car to a leather place and the place will be using katzskin materials.

 

I have the Leather in my MR. I think I am the only one that has it. I had the Dealer swap the seats out of an 04. I will post pictures later.....

 

would have bought mr if had leather and moonroof. got gsr instead, how much did it cost to swap? i think they must have ordered new seats from the factory. probably expensive. i'm pretty sure it's against most state laws for them to take something out that is on the factory sticker. i.e. oh well if not, i wonder how much a gsr w/ sun and sound costs?

 

its actually black vinyl. i thought it was leather too until i bought mine and started cleaning the interior.

 

after looking a long time @ my seats, i think that mitsu does the leather for the rear seats, and recaro does the leather for the fronts.

 

I would have deff. waited for the MR if it came with a leather & sunroof option. Can beat those leather RECARO seats yummy!

 

We need to get these guys http://leatherseats.com/ to do a kit. They start at $679 for both the front and the rear, but do not show availability for the EVO. They are very popular with the WRX crowd and I'm sure they would do our seats if we had enough people interested. They also ran group buys on NASIOC for less than the $679.

 

Agreed, someone should really organize a group buy on this or something

 

to be honest, if you race around a lot, the leather does not grip as well as the cloth. i bought leather cause i like the feel, and the smell and i also smoke in the car(bad).
