i think it is mostly just a matter of people not caring enough and taking their time. i had my brother who works at big-o tires do mine and when i go them back there wasn't a scratch on them....

wow 2500

I should have done this when the dealer screwed mine up... but I didn't even notice it til later in the month :\

It's a shame there are shops like this.. I've had my share of problems with them. If you want something done you almost have to do it yourself now days it seems.

Glad to see you got the problem resolved even though the shop did little to help.

Nice!! I guess they contacted Mits and got a quote for a set of new wheels. I guess thats one good thing about dealer pricing!!

Anyways, I suppose the shop will learn a valuable lesson when they see how much their insurance premiums will increase. They should have made everything right with the customer istead of trying to screw around with me and then deny they even did the damage. The could have gotten my wheels fixed for much cheaper than what their insurance will increase per 6 months most likely (my insurance will not increase)...

For all you guys with shops or that will run a shop someday...dont forget to always keep your customers happy!! It pays in the long run.
So you had to claim your insurance to get the $2500? or is it their insurance who paid you?

my insurance paid me and my insurance will go after their insurance...i couldnt get the shops insurance information or policy number so i filed a police report and handed it over to my insurance company...they told me they would take care of it and my rates would not increase...

funny, i was about to switch insurance companies (from Kemper to Geiko) b/c i am paying a lot for this insurance and I have never made a claim in 8 years...i was going to switch to the most basic plan which probably would not have covered this...good thing i didnt!!

I had that same mentality as you with insurance plans. But I knew **** would happen beyond my control, like vandalism, so I kept the comprehensive deductible lower. Then what happened? My car was vandalized 6 months later.

I got my new Bridgestone Potenza S-03's installed on Friday and didnt have a chance to take a look at them til today because of a trip to Vegas. Sure enough, I have scratches and gouges on all 4 wheels. Thanks Evan Tire! Youll be hearing from my insurance company- USAA.

Dont go to Evan's Tire Center in Escondido, CA!
