Has the EVO got you into trouble

I have a Rally Red Evo, and have been repeatedly told that red is the most frequently ticketed car. A little research (in anything that can be consider remotely scientifically controlled) shows that red is a distant third, with white being the overwhelmingly top color car being cited with speeding. Black is second, and not even close to white. Of course, this probably means that there are more white cars on the road than any other, but those are the raw numbers, for whatever it's worth.
Moral of the story? The Evo is a flashy car. Cops are humans, and are attracted to flashy cars. If you tone things down, you stand a better chance of being given the benefit of the doubt. At least, in my opinion.

My bit of trouble took place before I even drove off the lot. I was "supposed" to sell my other car before I bought the evo, but one thing lead to another and I ended up driving off the lot thinking my other car was about to be sold- little did I know the buyer would back out and leave me with 2 car payments and 2 insurance payments.... Not fun!!
Regardless, it hasn't stopped me from throwing on 3' turbo back exhaust, perrin intake, hallman mbc, megan short shifter, boost gauge, and mr DV. lol I've had it a little over a month now.

had my civic si boosted, pretty quick car, drove it fast from time to time, never got a ticket. Got my EVO first two days of driving it got a ticket for 85. Three months later, which is last week got one for 103. OUCH!!! Was going to sell it, but gonna hang in there. The 103 one, i was caught by a chp plane pacing me. Not even on radar
Two pionter & One pointer. Cops will slow down and creep next to my car to see if i will drive fast. If I do they shine a flash light or screech the horn. On the two pointer the cop looked like he wanted to kill me. He was yelling at me trying to scare me.
The evo is no joke but that can get you in trouble. Especially with jealous haterz.

no problems here... had it for two years in chicago and all i have is 3 tickets for tint while it was parked. and misc parking fines. nothing major. Cops here just dont give a **** about cars. but you folks in the burbs. No offence, some 16 yr old with an evo, sti, m3, 350z, ........ ******* the hell out of it on some random *** sidestreet plus all the yuppie kids with parents cash (not saying this is you, just saying people like this are in your area). And the fact that in the suburbs the cops have nothing better to do than screw with you. Bad Mix. move to the city, you will never get more than a parking fine.
