Winter Prep for a new Evo?
You could run winter windshield washer fluid on there if you need. I assume that you dont really use the IC sprayer that much. It helps though.
I actually had my car done at Henderson's in Midland. I would have to research around to see what is available in the Lansing area. Anything but Ziebart though!
The air your sucking in is much cooler right now which could account for the increased audible noise. Although anything execpt that I have no idea. You should also notice that your car boosts much higer when it is colder outsied vs. a hot summer day. I wish we could have these temps all year long but not actually feel it or have the snow.

cool. So ziebart sux. But if I call around, is there a specific type of rust protection I should ask about, or does ziebart just suck cuz they're ziebart?
I was wondering if the water in the IC sprayer freezing is a problem for cracking the piping.

i thought i heard rustproofing could be worse than not. Do some research first. Go with a mainly dry handling snow tire. Lest you live in deep snow all the time. I had ws50s once for a 323gtx and they were squirmy. But great in the deep stuff that fell 2 times. Now I have blizzak LM25s and they're fantastic on the road. decent on snow. THey get me around when it's snowing. And can't compare any snow tire to the stock advans. totally different purpose/construction. Salt is OK so long as you wash it off after you drive through it. Take it to a self-car wash, and spray under the car. $1.75. I had a car I drove every day for 13 years, no visible rust (all cars with some steel rust. can't change physics). I got the autotech mats, they're great except my heel gets a little slippery when my shoe's wet. Those Valeo wipers at tirerack look good too but $40 ea?! I have the rally armor mudflaps waiting to be isntalled. Salt is a crystal and has some sharp corners so watch your paint when it flies around. To prevent or at least help with fogging, i mix in a little bit of rainx anti-fog (using it per isntructions kind of sucks) with a bottle of vinegar based windex (ammonia is bad and can esp hurt window tint which I dont have), spray the top of the inside of the window and USE A SQUEGEE as it drips down. using a squegee prevents the streaks you see when it does start fogging. DO this twice a year and you window will fog less often and when it does, it clears easier, IMO.

Since I'm such a nice guy I called around for you! AutoOne on North Waverly near Saginaw has a two step process for your EVO. They said they could get you in as soon as Monday although they want the car overnight. They quoted a price of $285 which is reasonable. I belive I paid $220, although the process at AutoOne seems more through and hence a better process.
Just put in some winter windshield washer fluid in your IC resoboir and you will be fine.
Cool man. I appreciate it. I'll make an appointment!
