How do I break off open end lug nuts
I doubt the nut is brittle enough to break easy. you are looking at blood sweat and tears down that path. if you had more nut exposed you could dremel a bit and then try the chisel. but that would work best longitudinally.
Did you ever get the lug nut out? I had the same problem last week with my stripped wheel lock. I used a chisel to get the wheel lock down to the core. ( Wasn't a good idea) My rim is messed up now. After I got it down to the core I just drilled the center down to the stud. I should have done it in the first place to save the rim. Drilling was easy but too awhile. After that, I used the chisel to break the remaining smaller pieces off. Now I just have to replace the stud. ($3.96) for one
