Mystery button on US Evo pic
It most likely is not a switch for the sunroof.
puts their sunroof switch on the ceiling in front of the sunroof. It probably is a foglight button (this is where it is on my eclipse) and will probably become an ACD switch when it becomes an option in the future.

Is it feasable that the button in question could be a blank for now as Mitsu has or someone has hinted at the ACD being a future option. My guess is a car company would not like to have to redesign the dash to include the button for it later on.

was inserting a plain plastic piece instead of the button. From what we can see on that picture, that is a button for real.Mr. AWD
i've been in the evo 7 at mmsa and that is without a question the button for the active center diff. that is where you push it to change from tarmac, gravel, snow. when i went to the tech training he had no idea if it had acd or not????????if this is a us spec than i wonder?
It's either hi-beams or foglights. It's not AYC/ACD, I can say that with absolute certainty. The only reason I can't say specifically is because the icon on the button doesn't show up clear enough for me. (and I'm not using the photo that you guys are looking at....)

If you actually read through his post, these cars were driven in Thailand. He said he drove the US spec EVO, but he did not say the pics he took were the US spec.
It is very likely that he took pictures of a JDM EVO that would also have been there.
