Their is a loss with my perrin antenna. I live in Fort lauderdale and used to be able to go to Moroso and still get my Miami based radio stations but with the shorter antenna I start to lose the stations when I get to Boynton Beach. So with that said I believe with a shorter antenna that you lose about 20-25 miles of coverage area.

Derek

But its worth it to me because the smaller antenna looks so much better.

I still receive the same stations as before. I don't listen to the radio much anyways so I wouldn't care even if reception was degraded since it looks so much better.

Couldn't tell ya...I live only about 3 miles from the big antenna farm in Riverview...I could probably pick up radio broadcasts on my toaster oven...

I definately noticed a reception loss. I lose stations sooner than before and some stations even have a little static at times when before they were clear. However like everyone said it looks so much better so it is worth it. I installed a TV/DVD/MP3 player so I mainly listen to MP3's and or watch TV and movies anyway...

I have s2000 shorty antenna and the reception is about the same. Although, you do get a lot more static. But I've changed my headunit and the problem went away.

Hmmm, I haven't had any loss with mine. I even switched back and forth from stock to the Perrin, and didn't notice much of a difference at all. I seemed to lose stations in the same spots I did with the stocker.
