Weird CLunk sound

I have just had my Shep Tranny, new act clutch and fiadanza flywheel installed and afterwards a new transfer case.

Earlier this week I could hear a small clunk when under heavy acceleration; this clunk has now become louder and is apparent when turning the steering wheel. Mostly when turning left. This happens when the car is not in gear and just sitting with no forward movement.

I am taking it to mitsu to see what the problem is; I am hoping that it is something in the steering or suspension; rack and pinion, balljoint, something they left loose when installing the transfer case maybee an axle.

what do you guys think it could be? Please no BS responses.

Mitsu didnt waranty the last transfer case because I had an aftermarket clutch in there.

I had a very annoying clunking noise but it was when shifting weight forward, such as braking, and also jerking the steering wheel to the right...it felt like it was coming from the floor. It got worse and worse over the months...turned out my right front strut was blown, mitsu covered it so it's fixed now. I think it was from slamming an asphalt lip in the road when they were doing road repairs here. Couldn't see that ***** coming.
Yours sounds different but that's my experience anyway.

Type "clunk" into the search feature for many threads identifying the usual suspects for this problem.

Well my car is in the shop right now and I will find out soon enough. I have the spare old/bad transfer case and if I need to I will have to send this out to TRE for a rebuild.

900 for the bad pinion gear and 500 to replace the spider gears which have been known to go bad. I would just get both of them done at the same time since its extra precaution for the future.

Im just not sure what to do if it is another bad transfer case. Get it fixed with a rebuild and spend about 2300 that I dont have or take a chance at buying a beater (How do I know that I wont have other problems with the beater) and then get this fixed thing fixed at a later date.
