If you do take the offer, make them write down a list of things they are going to do, and how many miles they will need on the car and how they will drive it. Record everything.

It doesn't sound right to me until I actually see the letter. If you think about it, why would "they" convert an AWD car to a 2 wheel drive and test it when the car passed the emissions as an AWD before Mitsu. started selling the car. Also this is just my theory. It takes a little more fuel/map on the ecu to run an AWD car so if they convert it to 2 wheel drive with the same map...........guess what, it will fail the emissions since it will dump more fuel to power a 2 wheels drive car. Like I said this is just my theory.

F*CK NO! Don't do that ****! 10 days of them putting your car through hell, and having the mechanics drive it every where. And what's this **** that they have to make it 2wd. Then later if you have any problems they'll find a way to f*ck you and say that it was your fault.

This is just my opinion but a free rental with some money and a carwash isn't worth having my car f*cked with.

It's a scam, fools. Mitsubishi would never ask for a customer's car for testing. They usually build no fewer than a dozen for emissions and crash testing, and it's trivial to take another one for testing. Duh. They need 10K miles? They just run the engine under load for a while. Not that difficult. How do you think car companies stick on powertrain warranties? They usually go through a fair number of engines to ensure they'll last as long as they calculated. Not that expensive.

Call your Mitsu regional office and inquire if you still think it's real. When they tell you it's a scam, do Mitsu and others a favor by giving them the return address so they can crack down on these con artists.

Though if you believe that...

Hello, my name is Basmati Kasaar.

I am suffering from rare and deadly diseases, poor scores on final exams, extreme virginity, fear of being kidnapped and executed by **** electrocution, and guilt for not forwarding out 50 billion chain letters sent to me by people who actually believe that if you send them on, then that poor 6-year-old girl in Arkansas with a breast on her forehead will be able to raise enough money to have it removed before her redneck parents sell her off to the traveling freak show....

Exactly. 10 days. Even if they gave you a rental car, that's a LONG time to either strip your car taking their sweet time, or more likely: transporting it far far away. Possibly onto a boat to another nation.

Though if anyone still believes this is real, my Nigerian friends need help.
