Dealers in Oregon
Does anyone know of any good dealers near Portland, Oregon. Say within 40 miles??? I visited Town and Country last summer and there were some slimey people hangin around there. Anyone have a good experience with a dealer near here?
Thanks

hey, there are quite a few guys on the board that are from oregon, and most of us bought at premeir in beaverton. they arent great, but there arent a whole bunch of options. i went to dick hannah in vancouver and got super messed with, after a night time 2 hour drive for the promise of invoice, they recanted and tried to give me a horrible rate on my new evo. i bought it the next day from premeir. if you are looking seriously, you can pm me for my name, and i get $500 for sending you to them, if you buy. i will split it with you. best of luck with everything. keep your eye on the NW threads, as we are trying to stay/get a little more active in Oregon/Washington.
damn man I know what you mean. I went to Dick Hannah up in Vancouver and the internet Service manager was given me guff because I was so young. It took 2 hours for them to let me test drive an EVO. then he just 'threw a price out there' of 38, 500. I was shocked and me and my friend just left shortly after. I went to Carr Subaru after that and test drove an STI and the price was a lot better. I went home and after a few days I just decided not to do anything yet. I knew the MR would be coming and possibly a new and better STI in the works (though all speculation has it that the impreza body style will look very ugly). So I think I am going to be waiting until Summer to buy an EVO or STI. I even heard the EVO nine would be here in March.... Anyways, how was your deal on your EVO, and what was your experience with their service department? I will gladly take you up on your deal if I purchase from them.

I don't know about buying, but the service at Ray Reece Mitsubishi on 122nd & Burnside has been great. Im a 21 year old guy, I drives my car hard sometimes, and I have light mods. I have always received good service on the car and excellent customer service from the manager Jerry.
yeha i need to check out ray reece as the service at premeir i have heard is bad, but i havent had to deal with them for mare than an oil change for now. i went to carr subaru to drive the STI and they had a sticker of 44k on it. i didnt even talk to anyone, i got back in my car and left, drove to premeir and bought the evo. the internet sales guy at dick hannah was the same one who screwed me. his name was Josh i think. i came all the way from Seaside at like 8 at night to swing the deal he promised up and down, and then they had met there quota by the time i got there, and never even bothered to call me to say it wasnt going to work. i swung OTD on my 04 bby gsr evo, at premeir, 29k and change. just under 30, i shouldve waited for another month but couldnt. i drove it the week before and had been in negotations with them all week, and think i got a fair price. i bought in the endo fo august but if i had waited they wouldve had 05's and couldve dealt better for an 04. anyway, you are making the right call. best of luck. if we get a run together anytime soon, you are welcome to ride with me. premier should let you test drive, they let me. granted i am maybe a little older (23) but i had no problem. keep me posted.
I found my car on auto trader in washington, i was going to drive to korum to buy it . On a whim i went into the local dealership here in Eugene, Emerald mitsu. and told the salesman that i found the car i was going to buy and wanted to know if they were interested in making a sale instead of me going to another dealership.
They were more than willing to make the deal for the price that i wanted to pay. Emerald purchased the car from korum and shipped it down. When i went in i had a big down payment and was pre-approved for the balance with my credit union so that part was painless. I walked out of the dealership a hour and a half later with a receipt for the car. It was pretty funny because i rode into the dealership on my bicycle and was ignored by most of the salesmen and ended up working with someone really cool.
Good Luck, Kris.

All the dealers in Portland and Salem suck ***. Find the one that will give you the lowest price and suffer like the rest of us. I bought mine from Premier and would never buy a car from them again. I got a price below MSRP but it was an 6 hour ordeal.
Beaverton Mitsubishi = Bring your own vasoline. I was calling around in August trying to find a dealer in Oregon that was getting a MR in graphite since my dealer messed up and didn't change the color of the one they were getting for me. I guess they had my name and number on file so when they got one in they called me back...this was like 3 weeks ago. I asked what they were wanting for it and the sales guy said $44k. Once I stopped laughing I finially told him that I already recieved my MR and paid just over invoice for it.
The dealer I went though for my MR was Dave Hamilton in Redmond, Or. Good people there and they won't rob you. The downside is that they don't have much in stock. Right now they only have a white RS and a Silver GSR with out the SSL package...but I know you can get either for below MSRP. I am also pretty sure that they can get the color you want if a dealer in the NW has one in stock. If you call ask for the sales manager for the dealership who is Chris Rowton. He will give you the best deal since he doesn't work on commission.
