Bumper scuff?
Looks like someone threw their shopping cart at my bumper, what can i use to take off the scratch , its a little rough since it dug in a little, any advice?
Leave it alone. Sorry to say, I tried this with my motorcycle a while back. get some touch up paint and ONLY put it in the area that doesn't have paint, dont paint over the paint is still there, as it wont match. it wont be perfect, but it will mask it. If it isnt past the primer or dug into the plastic, buff it out.
No, you're getting in over your head at that point. Take a pic of it if you can and post it, otherwise just dont touch it. Find sand paper dulles the clear coat, not matter how fine it is. Just leave it and get if buffed by a detailer.
On the same note... blindness comes with old age... short story, this old man backed into something and needs to know where to find the matching Apex Silver paint pens...
Guess this is more of a ride along than a hyjack...

Those color match touch up paint sucks. It shows obviously and it still reminds you of the craziness.
I would just wait until you could get a pro to spot touch up. He'll bondo it then paint just that spot.
Remember, we have that crappy paint that they used to put on mustang back when. Clear coat and pain mix spray.

haha well I do plan to have it touched up professionally in the next few weeks. But until then, I am curious to see what I can do for it myself. Hell, if it looks like ****e, the shop's just gonna make it all purty anyways.
I gave up on my bumper covers at about 2500 miles. I figure I'll just pull them off and get em repainted (I figure about $200 with them off the car) when I go to sell the car. I can feel for those of you who like to keep you car looking "pimp" all the time, this car just seems to attract dings. I've got a fricking rock chip on my ROOF of all things.....
