It's legal because the guy used various Mirage parts, btu spec whise, its basically everything T.M.E from the seats, body, chassis, turbo, and etc. The nice thing, for some, is the fact that when you register the car, it goes into insurance as a Mirage rebuild. So insurance really isn't that much on it either, and what you get is a "friggen" Evo. The seller let me drive the car, wow, its soo smooth and just rides really nice and aggressive. Nice to hear the turbo spooling.

Does it have brembos, AWD, AYC and everything? He won't have any problems selling it if the motor is fresh.

Edit did you realize if it has 2:1 lock to lock? How does that feel to turn all the way with one turn?

that would require somebody buying it and it not being what it said.

thus, nobody's "been had."

Sorry guys..... I just haven't had time to ask the seller if its even still in her hands. Just give me some time. Believe me though.... this is an actual AWD, Ti turbo, TME seats, TME everything really, the only part that from what i hear is the actual mirage part is the firewall and dash.

But its been a long time since I've heard anything about the car. I just always get people telling me.."why get the Evo 7 when you can get an Evo 6 TME...and so on...." But I'm interested in a used car, but as I told someone that I'm trying to get some info. on this matter, just give me some "TIME" and ill find out as much as I can.

as far as what I know about the car, is that the original owner was killed in a car crash down here in some other vehicle. So now his wife is selling it.. The car from what I hear is pretty quick, but it's not the all out EVO. Remember, the TME EVO 6 did not have fog lights, maybe the guy installed them.. Also, I was told that the car was cut in half and re-welded here in the states.. Who knows what that was all about.. Maybe a customs thing.. That's probably why it says Mirage re-build.. Anyways, I'm not spending my $$ on something like that...

well first off its not a tru evo so its not really worth the money. also i do not see how it can be registered as a mirage because you said the chassis and body is an evo chassisand well..body. thats pretty much what your are registering and in my opinion i would want it to be covered as an evo because if you crash it and it is a "mirage" your not gunna get much money.

Geeez, even Johansen knwos about Dave and his business. But its not bad of a car at all, I even got to test drive it when he was alive. It was an overall ncie ride I guess. Just haven't had tiem to go check it out again. Oh well...... 19 days left for my Evo 7!

Foglights were an option for the Evo 6.5, so it is possible that he put them in. They look weird though.

I dont think this is a TME. There were no fog light options for the 6.5 as far as I know. It could well be a "cut car". Driving a 4WD drive 300bhp cut car is risky business!!

The foglights were present on the EVO VI TM-V4...(kind of like the later phase of the TME)...
