I find the front plate mount hideous. A lot of times it won't get mentioned, sometimes you'll get a verbal warning. And sometimes you'll get a fix it ticket.

Just say the car is rare and didn't come with a place to mount the front license plate, so you're still waiting on the dealership to fabricate your custom mounting plate.

Put Them On. It's The Law Bro. Our Insurances Are Already Too High. Example: Look Good Vs $75 Tag Per Time. You Make The Choice. Trust Me

Hey I have mine on cause it's not worth giving them a reason to F with me.
Whatever U do. Just DONT put the plater in ur windshield. U get hit head on and that is a metal buzzsaw coming to decapatate u. Y people do that and not think about it is beyond me. And besides the cops arent going to be like "Well it's in his windshield so I guess it counts like front of car, so lets let him off."

Technically you're correct, but one of the more aesthetically pleasing parts of any turbo charged car or performance car is the aggressive front fascia. How many Vipers or Supras do you see out on the road with a front plate? If you're worried about it or have been known the run your mouth when gettin pulled over, I would recommend it...because cops are people too and will try to F you over if you insult their intelligence and/or career. But in all honesty...worrying about front plates in much ado about nothing. Let the world see that sexy front fascia totally unobstructed bu anything.

Here in Iowa, front plates are required as well...but a lot of exotics (or even Corvettes) often go without SIMPLY FOR LOOKS SAKE. As was mentioned previously, no front plate would probably only be considered probable cause for a traffic stop. If everything else is in order, you'd probably get off with a warning, especially if you remove all the hardware for mounting the plate (because even the officer would wonder, yeah, where would it go?). Just play dumb. I think the Evo looks way better w/ no front plate. Worth a try anyways. Hey, did the dealership drill the 1/2" mounting hole in the front facia already? I had to plug mine with a plastic plug & used Mistubishi touch up paint to paint it.

Im going to put mine on when I get it. Its the law here in california. My whole theory revolves around not getting pulled over in the first place.

If he is a dick, you could always put it on in his presence and maybe get out of a ticket.

Ok heres the simple solution thats worked for me over in NY. I used the velcro that came with my EZPass (for tolls) and I stuck one on the liscense plate and one on the inside of my windshield. I stuck the plate between the dash and windshield and connected the velcro so it doesnt fall out of place, and its in plain site for the officers to read. I have been pulled over for the usual dui checks on new years eve, and they looked at might front bumper, laughed ,then saw my plate in the windshield and said "oh". So it does work, that way you dont have an ugly *** plate on your bumper, and still keep her legal!

I say do it to avoid the ticket, or change the car title into your parents' names, that way you can just say "my daddy didn't want it on his car"...LoL, if you're gonna do it (which you should) put in in the window with tape or velcro or something, don't put it on the front, it only looks good on the front if it's a Japanese plate

its all up to you if you want the plate on or not. i live in nj where you have to have 2 plates but i only have the back. the front wasnt drilled for it and i would rather have it look the way it does now then with the plate. i havent been pulled over for it or anything else for that matter in the month or two that ive had my car.

The ticket shouldn't affect your insurance, and it should just be a fix-it ticket.

I really think people are too paranoid about it.

I will NEVER put holes in my dear sweet EVO. I could mount the plate using adhesive but I love the look with no plate. Have you ever seen a Corvette or Viper with a front plate? I know I haven't. I haven't had a front plate for about 2.5 years with no problems from cops. I think you'll have trouble with small town cops though. If a cop pulls you over just tell him that you refuse to put holes in your baby, I'm sure he/she will understand.

i have the whole in the front bumper for the plate bracket, but i dont have the actual bracket for the plate. when i bought the car it was in the trunk- broken. anyway, i dont have it on, but i have it stashed under the rear passenger side floormat. that way if i do get pulled over, then i will just throw it on the dash, all of which i can do safely, and sly-ly while the cop gets out of his ride, or runs my back plate. if i do get harrased about it then i am going to attach it to the bottom of the bumper on a hinge, so that it sways back and forth, and hopefully hits the pavement when i pull into a sloped driveway.
