should i mount front plates?

my plates are available for me for pick up- wondering if any of you guys did or did not have front plates mounted....what's the fine for not having front plates? what do u tell the cops when ur stopped for not having one? is it worth it for the guys who did not mount their front plates?

I Dont have mine on but now i think imma put it on Couse its just one More thing for the cops to pull you over and FUWCK with you and if ur car is modded or u have a loud exhaust they will write you tickets for every little thing they spot on ur car trust me and besides they dont like our cars so just sacrifice the look lol and put it on in my opinion

Well I see your in Chicago, and if you live in the city you most likely wont have problems. I find that the cops really dont care, and rarely will pull you over for little things. The fine should be real small if anything. But once you hit the suburbs, you might run across problems with your plate if the cop has nothing else to do, and insists on busting you for something.

Thumbs up

front plates are state specific. here in az we don't have to use them & they only mail u 1 plate for your car. it does creat problems here for us if we go on a road trip. most states back east requir front plates so better safe then sorry. if they give you 2 plates, might as well use them...

put it on dude. cost me like $86 few yrs back when i had my civic. the trouble is not worth it. plus it doesnt look half bad on the evo. or just put it behind the windshield and see whats up.

I have custom plates on front and back. Seems like police are not going to pull you over for not having one, but its just one more thing that could ruin your day if they decide to pull you over for it.

i would use the front kit the car came with which mounts in front of the driver side air duct.

DO NOT PUT THOSE FRONT PLATES ON!!!

Both my sister and her boyfriend are in law enforcement. They've told me that getting pulled over for not having front plates is about as much a priority for police as getting pedestrians for jaywalking. I've put 23k miles on my car without one. I've been pulled over twice. It was never even mentioned to me.

BTW...keep the front plate in your trunk though just in case you ever get pulled over by some cop who's an uber *****.
