should i mount front plates?
Well i dont know about where u live but in Nevada if u dont have a licence plate holder u dont have to have one. Now if put one on but have no plate there then its illegal but if it dosen't have one ur ok. I think that pretty much applies to most states, but u never know. Really i think it depends on the cop, if he want to be a dick, then he maybe he can depending on the state. But why would u want one? It looks way better without one.
Pare, just put your front plate just like I do. It saves you from all the hassle for cops to pull you over and find more things to give you ticket. You dont need to drill holes on the bumper.

i got pulled over for not having the plate infront at LA airport.cost me to pay the fix it ticket for less than 20bucks. put it. the plate saved my intercooler from being damaged when road debris flew into my car a month ago.
no front plates. the first time i got pulled over, the officer told me to bring pictures of my car with the plates mounted (not taped on) within a week of my ticket, to his precinct, and show him. if i did, then i would not be charged with anything.

ah, the old front plate decision. i have had to make that decision on all my previous cars. here in hawaii, no front plate is $55 fine + $14. court costs. The best solution on all of my previous vehicles was on my extreme s10. Extremes had a front plate cover similar to corvettes, that covered the area for the front plate. i drilled 2 holes in the license plate, and then mounted the cover over the plate. when i got pulled over last in that vehicle, while the officer was checking my rear plates(cool female actually), i carefully walked to the front and took off cover. then when she looked @ front, everything was a o.k.
however for the evo, i had the plate off for a while, but put it back on cause i don't need any other reason to get a ticket- the car gets enough law enforcement attention already. besides, it is the only stock vehicle w/ an offset plate anyway, so i think it looks pretty cool.
There is an upside to not having a front plate though. it makes it harder for cops to laser gun you w/o front plate.- $55.00 front plate ticket( non moving violation) vs $75.00+ speeding ticket( moving violation) didn't matter in my case cause i got a pace tag last week(bull)
