EVO MR Limited to 1000?
EVO MR Limited to 1000?
I'm confused, is this per year or are they only making 1000 copies and stop producing it?
Here is a quote from AutoWeek:
"Mitsubishi is planning a production run of about 1000 MRs. After that, you’ll have to settle for a stiffer one with a five-speed."

Yea, I like the MR, but not for the extra cash. Evo's are really rare enough (compared to most cars in the 30K range) that I don't need to be MORE special...I'll take the 5K for upgrades.
the extra $5k is worth the money to my understanding compared to the 03 and 04's models. The retail value is even greater, I mean half of the country is selling the MR's for around 40k, the resale value will stay very high as well because being a limited production car instead the regular 05 will be available for much less.

Thing that surprises me is that if there are only going to be 1000 of them why do I seem to see more of them at dealers than regular GSRs or even rarer are the RS. I havent even seen a Yellow or Tarmac 05 anywhere around DC in about 2 months. I have seen 5 Graphites at dealers and 2 Raly Reds 2 Apex Silvers and only 1 Wicked White. The not so trust worthy sales guy at Stohlman said they sold 8 of them in a week when they got the frist ones. They had about 4 there last week.
Got an 03 tarmac in the fam and my MR so we be supa happy
But yes only 1000 if they make it that far lol.
edit makes me feel better to note I got mine for 35k out the door..

As long as they continue to build EVO the resale will drop with 03 being the worst.
