Question Question about Greddy Type-S BOV Single Spring Mod.

I currently have the Type-S installed on my evo and I was planning on getting the apexi intake soon... I was just wondering if it would be reccommended to put the other spring back in the BOV so that it won't flutter....

If anyone has the same set up, feed back would be appreciated.

Also, how is the Injen intake + upper IC compared to the Apexi Intake + heat shielf? Is the injen take maintenance free? Which is a better deal?

thanks

with one spring, the bov can not hold over 16 psi ( this is from my own experience) it would leak. with both springs it can hold 21 psi. it will always flatter, no matter what you do.the intake will make it louder, that's about it other than that you can run it with the stock air box or any intake as long as it is recirculated you'll be fine.
i have the injen intake and i love it, you wont gain a lot of power from it may be 10 or 15 whp, but it looks nice and it comes with the upper intercooler pipe.

I have done the single spring mod and it holds 22 psi or 25 psi just fine and dandy.

JUst make sure you put the right spring back in and it will hold PSI fine. I had a Pruven BOV (same as Greddy with pruven name ontop) with both springs in and the idle sucked and car would stall sometimes. Switched to the Greddy Type-S with single spring but i had put the small spring back in not thinking, and it definatly leaked!! Figured out my problem and put the bigger spring in instead and the car pulls the same as it did with the Pruven which was giving me all those problems.
