QUESTION! Evo Bumpy Ride?!?

ok, i know the evo have stiff suspension... but right now... it drives worse than when i first bought it... even on complete smooth roads...it bumps like crazy... i don't think thats normal...i call the dealship as usually...they just told me probally my tires are frozen? and check the pressure..?? i did..and pump the tire back to good runnning pressure...its still really bumpy...

i have about 3000 miles on my car...is it time for me to go in for a check-up? i think my wheels could be offset... any advises?

your tire pressures are frozen? what is that mean?

what's your tire pressure set at?

if it doesn't squeek, your shocks are ok. it's bumpy, you don't realize it when you first get the car.

Only when something's wrong with it. Has the weather just gotten colder recently where you live? If so, that could be all it is and thus, nothing to worry about...

Where do you live and how cold is it. One time with my stock tires it was very cold, 10-15 degrees F, and I think the tires "froze" with a flat spot on them. When I started driving it felt like a couple of the tires were badly out of balance and the vibration went all through the car. After I drove a few miles and the tires heated up it went away. Could this be what you are describing?

I have the exact same problem every morning, especially when the temperature was sub zero the previous night. It can be worse when it snowed previously and snow cakes the wheel and brakes. Braking performance is also greatly diminished and the ABS becomes hyperactive when I am approaching a stop light. It goes away after I have been driving for a few miles though.

You need some winter air in your tires.

Go get it changed.

You may need some piston return springs as well.

Seriously... Your best bet is to take it in and have them take a look at it.

Shock are stiff when warm and really stiff if freezing outside. Perhaps you should consider getting some MR shock setup since it give a much softer ride without compromising performance.

Well, really soft in comparson to my 03 evo that is.
