i've never had to fight my dealer on anything... however i expect them to treat me as Mercedes treats my dad... his car recently broke too (c32) and they replaced not just the fuel pump, but the whole fuel tank assembly....

Pistons are supposed to be forged I thought.
Something sounds fishy..

my dealer called me up and wanted me to go over there.... i showed up and he had the spark plugs out, coil packs off, etc... he showed me the 3rd and 4th spark plugs.. they looked like something was hitting them...

another mechanic gave him a bioscope and we peaked into the cylindars... on the 4th cylindar, you could see a piece of the ring laying on top of it.. we checked out the 3rd cylindar and it has a big crack in it... he took an air gun and blew some air in the 4th cylindar and the piece that was cracked, flipped up on top showing the next portion of the piston and the piece of the ring that broke off.....

luckly i might get the shop that installed the cams, gears, headstuds, emanage, e-01 and tuned it to pay for it... the only thing is the injectors... me and my friend (who is a ford certified mechanic) installed the 680cc HKs injectors, the injectors were brand new in box and ran fine for a month until my recent mishap..

mines, white...

the other company wants me to tow my car to them so they can take it down and find out more info on it.... i have mixed feelings... if it is there fault (99% sure it is) i could either put forged rods and pistons... i already have a Cometic headgasket laying around... OR just put it back stock, sell it and buy another car... what would you do?

odd that your 3rd and 4th would crack. usually they crack in 1 and 3 or 2 and 4.

they took the head off and i floated all my valves and cracked just 4th piston...

my experience: get new valves, springs, retainers when running ANY aftermarket cams whether they say to or not....

the car will be fixed and sold as stock... parts will be for sale, but looking for local pickup only.. msg me on AIM if interested..

labor $550+
parts $530+ gaskets and oils
