car broke down today!!

well i was pulling out of my subdivison, and i was running it from 1st-2nd gear.. i wasn't at a stop, maybe 10 mph as i always do (clutch is starting to give)... anyways, as i was at the midrange of 2nd my car started to bog down, so i gave it more fuel and it got worse... the engine never died until i stopped and wouldn't start after that... it cranks fine and i get fuel pressure, however i won't start fully... i got it towed to the dealer and hopefully they'll cover it under warranty..

i noticed that whenever i get on it in 1-3rd gears it makes a wierd noise on the passenger side (sounds like under the bonnet).. it started doing this ever since i got my injectors put in.. the injectors were brand new HKS 680cc.. has anyone else had this problem with new injectors?

it has had similar problems in the past but it cranked up fine last time with the exception of running REAL rich.. the dealer covered it under warranty and some sensors went out (crank sensor was one of them) and all they did was reflash the ECU... any info on it would be great!!!

^^too late I'm guessing... who knows maybe your injectors fawked and decided to overload the chamber with fuel or something... would that explain why it got worse when you tried to give it more gas? Sorry I'm just shooting in the dark here. I'll be impressed by your dealership if they cover it under warranty if that was the problem.

i know all the people at the dealer, so i know they'll help me out as much as they can

what i'm thinking is the sensors went out..... again...

i know more about it tomorrow.... any other input is still appreciated

it could be that you're running rich and your plugs are dirty. make it stock and take it back.

the car feels tuned to the teeth, however it is just street tuned... i am going to SGP in Houston to get it dyno tuned next week..

my engine bay looked 100% fine... i smelled for fuel, check for fuel leaks around the injectors, etc....

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T TAKE IT TO THE DEALER UNTIL IT'S BACK TO STOCK, THEY'LL SHAFT YOU FOR THE AFTERMARKET INJECTORS. EVEN IF YOU DO KNOW THEM ALL. IF THEY MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM, IT IS TO MITSUBISHI, AND IF IT ISN'T A FACTORY PART DEFECT, MITSUBISHI WON'T REIMBURSE THE DEALER FOR THE WARRANTY WORK. SO THEN THE DEALER OR YOURSELF HAVE TO PAY UP OUT OF POCKET.

if it is to be found that it's my fault, i'll fix it... however, they have to prove that what i did caused the problem..
