Great, we give you guys the test you've been asking for and we're bored...nice.

Thanks for that nice comment. A) It wasn't a comparison, it was a list of cool cars for under 30 large B) they were rated on their cool factor C) the rest of the world doesn't have clue what an Evo is outside of the enthusiast circle, but I can guarantee you they all know what a Ford Mustang is, and that's not being biased, that's a fact.

I own an Evo, I love my Evo, but their are other great cars in this world, and that's also a fact.

Mitsubishi announced that the Evo IX will be shown at the New York Auto Show (I think it's in March)...I can't wait to see what's been improved upon.

i hope they dont - cause this car is inferior to the evo / sti. puting the srt4 in the mix would give that car too much credit

Hey EVO Neil, what model year was the Evo 8? Was a 03/04 model year Evo included in that test?

Subscribtions are $10 for one year and $18 for two. It doesn't get much cheaper than that.

All of the Evo's used in this article were 2005's. We've already established that the '05 are quicker than their '03/04 counterparts during our MR vs. STi test. For those of you who may have missed that information, it was not in the magazine article, it was posted in the thread discussing the comparison right here on EvoM. Basically we took a stock 2003 Evo and our long-term (at the time) 2004 STi as well as the new 2005 counterparts with us during testing for the MR vs. STi. You'll have to look through the thread, but the link is below.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=96844

So the '03/'04 question has already basically been answered.
