THOUGHTS AFTER 35K miles?!
I wanted to say when I get tried of it. Anyway either that or buy some rims or something for the looks. I guess that's why I am adding stuff all the time. If I was to buy everything I wanted right away I would end up selling the car sooner.
If you want RWD get the S2k or G35 over the Z...the Z is a great car...but it's not THAT great, and the S2k is way more fun to drive than the Z...I've driven both, and a supercharged S2k is insanly scary fast...IMO though there's no car cooler than an Evo, faster, more balanced, etc etc, all that doesnt matter, the Evo VIII has been and probably will always be my dream car...next to a Noble M12...
I agree with Lee K, it's nice to own and drive different cars. I have put 33,000 miles on a Z06 and recently bought an Evo. I really enjoy driving the Evo as a change of pace from the Corvette. I'm going to stay away from the 'this one's better' kind of argument. They are both fun in their own way.

This car is AWESOME. I can't imagine driving anything else and having so much fun. I think part of it is what you put into it. Seriously, with any new car you get, there's going to be an initial period of WOW this car rules, then it will slowly taper off. Doesn't matter if you have the fastest car in the world - at some point, you'll just get so used to it that you'll feel kind of "bored." I wouldn't trade my Evo for anything. And you know of course, the Evo will smoke a Z right out of the box.
But hey, if you got the money, why not just get a handful of badass cars with slightly different characteristics!

Nice thread. I've had my Evo for amost a year now. I was turned on by the accumilation of parts - Brembo, Recaro, Momo, turbo rush, carbon fiber wing, outrageous style - you know. Then, after living with it for a year, the harsh ride, poor stereo, lack of cruise control, no creature comforts...and basically not able to use the car for what it was intended...has me wondering if it's really the right car for me. A red '05 G35 6MT Coupe with tan leather sure looks inviting, but I've never driven one. I've build one online for $35,000 and think $33,000 might be target price - moon roof and aero package being only options added to the base 6MT model. The new accumilation of parts would be: heated leather seats, 19" wheels, 298 hp, rear drive, 6 speed, 6 disc CD/cassette stereo, CRUISE CONTROL, etc... Who's owned an Evo, then had time in a G35 Coupe? What's it like? Man, if I only had an extra $40K sitting around! Frustrating.
