I can't beleive that u people are getting sick of your Evo's. Let me ask you one thing, what car could replace the Evo? 350z? The 350 is not even close. You will never be able to buy a car thats more FUN to drive then the Evo (maybe the M3). If you are getting sick of the Evo, you will never be satisfied becouse the Evo is by far the MUST FUN TO DRIVE vehicle in the market!!!!

I have never had as much fun in a car that can also be a daily driver. I drive mine year round now and we are in two feet of snow. I have a Porsche that I garage in the winter and I hardly have interest in taking it out once the good weather comes. The Evo is so fun and can be modded so cheaply compared to most other cars. With a little bit of cash, you can practically transform the Evo into a new car.

I have. I talked my co-worker into buying a G35 Couple, so we drive each other around at lunchtime often. The G35 Coupe is a nice car, but I wouldn't classify it as awesome. The interior is like just about any of today's luxury car. Nothing paticularly exquisite, just plainly competent. The stereo is typical Bose (no highs, no lows -- it must be Bose), and the back seat is all but useless for anyone over 5'6". Handling is smooth and linear and the power is good, but it's still not as quick as an Evo. Low end torque is very nice, so the car feels fast off the line. What I don't like about my friend's car is the wretched engagement of the clutch. It's grabby and difficult to modulate. It also engages very high off the floor, so it's difficult to get it to shift smoothly. He's had it for over a year and even now it jerks when shifted. This could be an aberration limited to his car, since I've never read about it in other reviews.

The exhaust sound is pathetically whimpy. Not that it matters much, but it really sounds weak. His Brembos squeel like crazy, all of the time. His pads are fine and the dealer says "they all do that". Don't get me wrong: I like the car. I would still stand by my recommendation for him to buy one. But I think for a person who has been regularly driving an Evo, it is not going to be as insanely great as you might hope it to be.

well i can tell you from first hand experience of driving the 350z for 1 year (14k miles) before selling it for the evo (19k miles now).... i never really liked RWD cars, traction never felt solid and twitchy rear just aint my thing... the Z also handles like a pig, massive understeer and even the 300zx handles better (i drive it right now).... also the car never feels fast even when im flooring it because the power curve is so smooth. that is good for its usable power but its no fun.... also i drove it during a snowstorm and it made me sell the car, it sucks ***... i remember coming home from work and i passed 2 other Z's on the side of the road crying like a lil baby... ofcourse i became another victim like a mile or two later.... oh another thing i dont know if its fixed but the Z had a tire feathering problem although the G35 does not have this issue.... i dont know if its fixed for 2005's. honestly i still LOVE the 350z and if i move to a warmer climate maybe ill reconsider it.... its a friggin chick magnet unlike the evo and dont let anyone tell you otherwise, the only attention i get with the evo are GUYS....

as for modding, dont bother with the Z if u want lots of power because unless your going to go forced induction which is like another 5 grand plus installation, you will waste your money. you want just bolton like intake and exhaust? at best you get 15hp lol and im not even talking about WHEEL hp. the Z will always in my eye be a show car, its just not worth modding for power.... if i ever get the Z again i will just go with exhaust for looks then go get a nice bodykick and pickup some hot cali chicks

oh actually i do miss the 3 gauge cluster in the middle.... u get the cool mileage estimator, fuel consumption, timer.. u can even replace them all for Defi's..... u can also program it for rev light which is cool.. i believe the sti has it too but the evo strangely does not. u even get a tire pressure monitor.. phat.

True. I'm 34 and have had about 15 cars so far. Next car will definitely be an EVO. I' ve had a couple of mustang Gt's back in college and those turned into three Corvettes in my 20's, then BMW's when I turned 30. Then I got an 03 M3, and a Z06. The M3 was stolen and I got a Mini Cooper S. Got bored with that and sold it for an 05 S4, was seriously considering an MR, but they had just come out and all the dealers wanted a mark up.

Next car will definietly be an EVO, but I would one day like to have a C6 vette, Lotus Elise, NSX, 911, Viper, STI, etc. Too many choices. Usually I try to buy the cars used instead of new, so I don't take a big depreciation hit.
