Replacement Keys

Hi guys,
I forgot my evo key in my pants and put it into the washing machine, drying machine and then it turned out a bent key
called dealer and find out that I need to pay for $60 for the replacement.
is it just me or this is very expensive ?
any alternative?

I would even go as far as to say that's not that bad. Try to replace a Benz key...

yeh, laser cut key with immobilizer III key with memory function. Just like BMW keys.

Can't get em here, have to order from factory in Germany.

That's a pain.

There's a guy selling a key with transpondent in it for real cheap. I would try that on Ebay.

I think there's a forum somewhere that I've made, about stealing evo. Search my posts.

he bent one, the other one is for extra just in case you lose the main one, and the other one is for valet.

You need 2 set of keys, 1 for use main and 1 for backup.

Valet key don't open everything, but i guess you could use that when it gets desperate.
