My god. I've been driving longer than some of you have been alive. Not to bash, now I just feel old. Wait! I feel "experienced." That's better.

 

ignore the hate. plain and simple. If someone seems cool, there's no need to judge them based on age. I say kudos to ANYONE who gets to drive an Evo!

 

I got mine when I was 16 and have almost 9000 miles on it (17 now as of last saturday) and I would like to think I've been pretty responsable. Not all young drivers are asses, and I'm not ashamed to admit I've done a bit of spirited driving as im sure all of you have, or you don't deserve evos. And yes, the track is the best place fro spirited driving but I would call you out as a liar if you say that you've never opened her up on a street.

This wouldn't have been an issue if you hadn't advertised your age now. Thats like taking naked pictures of yourself, posting them on ****-course.com and trying to say your a virgin. Don't present yourself as a **** and no one will try to buy you...

 

i'm 20 and this is my 5th car, going on 6th cause i'm not happy with my evo...

anyways, statistically you'll wreck, with a result of you killing yourself, or someone else... not saying your gonna kill someone or yourself, but i'm willing to bet that you WILL wreck it by the cause of neglagence on your side... if i was wrong our insurance would be cheaper..

im only 20... so o well f em... i worked my *** off to get my car... An evo isnt that exspenive of a car... I dont see why people make a big deal because us "younger" people own evos... So sorry im half your age and drive the same car as you.... My priorties are much differnt then yours... get over it... just tell em that... Any one who hates is just jealous cuz that didnt have such a sweet car at your age....

 

 

yeah i bought mine at 18 im 19 now and will be 20 in june. and i realized 30k now a days for a car is common. 16 and getting an evo isnt young but for a first car it would be cool except for the fact that upgrading will be hard. i had a 90 cavalier, 95 talon, 03 evo. starting with an evo is tough 03 evo, 2006 TT Z06, F16 fighter jet

PS old people that complain are just jelous because they didnt have these kind of cool cars "back in the day". my dad always tells me that my car costs as much as his first house. but he like my car

 

I find it funny how one of the first things young people say is "its cause they're jealous". Many of the people that "hate on you" do it because they know what its like to be young, and they know that they'd wreck it if they drove it at your age, as statistics go, is correct. Insurance companies didn't wake up one day and say "hey lets punish young kids for having good cars", they reviewed past cases and found a general trend, teenagers, especially men, are statistically more likely to get into accidents than say a 25 year old. This is why my insurance is 4000$ while my sisters is like 1200$ maybe. A lot of people in my school were rich and had expensive cars, and surprise surprise almost all of them had tons of tickets and more than one crashed their car.

 

For you younger drivers, there is no point in telling others how "mature" you are. They won't listen or care. You got the car, they got the car. Everyone should be happy.

For you older drivers, there is no point in telling others how "immature" they are. They already have the cars. I kind of doubt they will think, "Oh dang, I am too young, I guess I should just get rid of my car now".

Come on everyone, think before you click that "Submit Reply" button. Younger and older drivers, there is no point in posting about what you think is right or wrong. The other person already has his/her own opinion and you most likely can't change it.

 

well, as for me being 17 (getting my evo about 1 year and 3 months ago) are one of the first to get the evo here in vegas... anyways, i can say i have a decent amount of respenct here in vegas with fellow evo owners and friends... they treat me by the age i act not the age i am... sure they want to go to bars and whatnot, well thats where i need to go get a fake

 

in not saying jealous in a bad way. its just times arent the way their where 20 years ago my dad didnt make the money i make when he was my age (even though i work for him) so dont take offense to when i say jealous
