the hot side is just that on the turbo the stock is like a 9.8 so the 10.5 hot side will flow more air , which will give more hp .

Isn't it the bigger side where the turbo meets the exhaust? (asking about hotside)

"Hotside" is the exhaust housing.

The hotside is what meets with the exhuast manifold and where the turbo actually gets spooled. The 2K3 and 2K4 Evos had a 9.8 hotside, and it is now a 10.5 on 2K5's.

So, what's the unit of measurement that 9.8 and 10.5 refer to? Cubic feet per second? Square inches? Furlongs per fortnight?

It's a cheap can of whoop-a$$!

I made 296 WHP with 93oct on a DynoDynamics with a Vishnu Stage 1 ( 3" exhaust, CAT delete, cam gears, fuel pump, piggy back computer, and 10.5 hotside ).

The measurment is decieving, it's not a larger exducer bore which most people think, the 10.5 has a greater volume inside.

Andrew @ Dyno4mance can hook you up, and can install it if you are close. I can attest to the fact that he does top knotch work.

10.5 cubic centimeters, I think...as opposed to 9.8. Basically it gives the turbo more room to breathe up top. More mid-range too, I think.

Yes. And breathe she does my friend.

The difference was night and day, it was like I was running on race gas all the time!
