Or you could try respect based on something other than fear. I don't know, like spelling correctly? And I don't call black people the N word out of fear but because it's wrong and as a people, they have expressed that they do not prefer it and I respect that. It's not so hard. All trying to instill fear in someone is going to do is cause your *** to be kicked or wind up with someone dead. That's not really the goal. Two wrongs don't make a right, live and let live.

hardly an example of real life. children like you all over the world should be so lucky to even be able to attend school and learn something. try and appreciate what you have because it's not widespread.

I got pulled over for that same thing, only my license plate cover was clear. The bastard hauled *** out of a parking lot & rode my *** like he just saw me commit a murder or something. He followed me for 3 blocks before the lights came on. License plate covers are actually illegal here (I looked it up) but i highly doubt that's the reason he was following me. It was more like "I think he is doing something illegal with a car like that, I'll follow him till I can figure something out to pull him over for". I wasn't speeding or doing anything out of the ordinary, except I happened to have the nerve to drive a Rally Red Evo through Beaverton, Oregon.

I'd also like to point out that you all (mostly) live in America. By law and by philosophy, everyone has an equal chance at free and happy lives. That means people of all different types. But clearly it is not easy at the individual human level to accept a religion, culture etc other than your own. People get culture shock when traveling to and living in other countries (than their own). Is it so hard to imagine when you invite any type of person in the world to live in the same place under the same laws, etc that there will be problems? Of course there will be periodic misunderstanding and ignorance based hate. That is the nature of humanity. That doesn't change overnight. This country is very new to the world, even if it has been here your whole life.
I guess I do agree that it was somewhat a "derogatory comment"... however, the way he said it and the attitude he gave me was more like he's thinking that - "what?! There's another asian around with some import car... don't we have enough of you chinese around already?" No matter how I put it, I just think its wrong to tell someone you don't belong in a certain place because of one's color... or there's a quota of how many chinese people can be walking on the street... but as EvoTexas said, there's always two sides to a story... I cannot stop the way he thinks because he's close minded... but hey, being ignorant is definitely his lost and not mine... I don't blame him for thinking that way nor am I going to let it get to me... I figure that people as such say things so that it'll get to you and **** you off... I think if we simply pretend like he didnt say anything it ticks them off more...

Don't mistake a few biggots opinions for the voice of a country.

Azn rice racer - yo man... you need to chill out yo... I mean I know where you coming from man... I for one when I was younger definitely have thought of and did many things to other people who stare me down cause I was born a different race to what they're use to in america... if I would've lost it everytime something like this happens to me my knuckles would be all be broken and probably get into trouble sooner or later or ended somewhere locked away.... but think about it... it's easy to get someone to fear you, hey chop off his fingers feed it back to him and ur in business ... but it's harder to get someone to respect you and shiit... you can't let everything come down to fear... all its gonna do is make ur life harder on you... but also for someone to respect u its important to respect others as well...

Which Airport. Pittsburgh or Philly? I live like 20 miles from pittsburgh airport. let me know. Sorry, that cop does suck. Fight it, did your friend hear the cop say that to you? Were there any witnesses around to hear it? Find out the most you can. Sometimes the parking lots will have cameras and you might be able to read his lips. Also, his dashboard cam might have been running and you might be able to use that as well. Good luck.

3 days ago I wouldve cared less about this thread. But over the weekend I got pulled over by an undercover cop in a taxi. I thought it was pretty funny because I knew the cop just wanted to know if I stole the car because his first question to me was "Is this car yours". Anyways long story short I got off with nothing and he gave me some excuse about not turning on my signal.

I mean Im sure I got pulled over cause Im a young kid with a very uncommon car in an area thats not exactly the wealthiest. Anyways Im just saying that profiling is a common thing. And it sucks to be pulled over cause of it.

Which leads to my second part. I am a chinese kid that grew up in white suburban area. I was always the chinese kid with the nice car (3000gt, EVO). I mean there are haters out there and I took the racial comments and all that jazz. But the majority of people are cool.

I mean honestly being a minority and driving a nicer car then 90% of the majority in a predominant white area your bound to get your haters or racists. But nowadays they are few and far between. And its true sometimes you have to just be like whatever "f you 2"

However, when an officer of the law pulls you over and makes dumb comments like that. It should be not taken lightly. Obviously he was not provoked and it was not necessary for him to make such a comment. Im sure they are not told in training to make racial comments to show respect to people you pull over. I mean it may not be a rodney king beating but it is a racially motivated action nonetheless and should not be tolerated.

Listen Azn rice racer, I know it sucks that this stuff happens. My step brother is vietnamese and believe me we have had more than a few knuckle heads make coments or try to give him a hard time growing up. I guess the best advice I can give anyone in this situation is to keep your head up. There are more good people than there are bad. I will say this however, this stuff seems to mostly happen here in the states. My brother fights in mixed martial arts all over the world. I have been to japan and many other countries several times and no one treated me or him with anything less than total respect. Even though I am white.
