S40 won?
. I'm checking out their site and it seems like they only make exhaust and chip. I wonder who else makes parts for the S40?
There's a TON of companies in Europe...Evolve is the only one so far in the US, but they have A LOT of parts they're planning to release (like all the parts on that ^ car), trust me, I emailed them and waited like 3 weeks for a response...and like I said, the chip mods for a lot of Euro cars seem to do A LOT more than they do for Japanese cars...(kinda like those chips for trucks here)

If you dont start at the right rpm or shift at the right rpm then you going to get beat by some slow cars. Each car responds to modifications differently so you got to test out what works best. I like to start each gear at 4200rpm to 4400rpm and just floor it. The faster the car the more you got to beat up your motor. I dont consider volvo a race car but if you wanna test em go for it. Also many cars are automatic. They take off fast cause all people do is step on the gas. They think they fast cause they dont have to think (shift). Usually many cars are quick in first gear cause they auto or auto-stick.

What is kind of interesting is that the previous gen S40 was a rebodied Lancer. It was designed and built in a joint Mitsubishi/Volvo venture called NedCar where both the Carisma (Lancer) and Volvo S40/V40 would be built in the same plant with the same platform. So the old generation is basically a CP9A, whereas the new one is based on Ford's global C1 small car platform which also underpins the Mazda 3 and euro focus, and a few other cars I can't talk about. Even the new mustang, even though it's rwd, is a heavily modified C1 platform (D2C).

Did you race the Turbo IS300 from a dig?
If I'm not mistaken last years T5 came with 218hp. However the 05's have the same back end (lights and all) as the S60 and s80. If you noticed the rear was different, it was probably an older year and maybe further modded. I drove an 04' T5 in Dec. and it has some nice tq.
I almost posted this same scenario the other day. That exact car came flyin up along side me. He thought he was gonna smoke the Evo, and I have to say the car was suprisingly quick. I think its a turbo charged 5 cylinder. Anyway I'm lightly tuned, and lets just say he'll never try that again if he has any pride.
