Oh... umm... well if we were talking about a street race, which I know we are *NOT*, and there happens to be a couple of inches of snow on the ground.... then it might be a different story. Otherwise... forget it.

How much power are you putting to the ground?
And snapping rods and blowing pistons by modding a Cobra? The 03-04's are completely forged and are known for holding some serious power on stock internals. I'm just not sure where you're getting this kind of info.

Hey man, can you give me the name of the class where you learned to be so witty and smart? I just have to check it out! You're so awesome!! Your parents must be so proud. BTW, don't let mom catch you or you're going to get grounded!

The B.S. in this thread is sickening. I've owned a modded '03 Cobra and 2 '03 Evo's (both with more mods than you), and can tell you with equal drivers you are not going to beat the Cobra in a 1/4 race with what you've got. I love it when people bang on RWD car's and say "if they know how to launch, then MAYBE..." - launching an Evo ain't a picnic for newbies either. Both cars require skill.
Why worry about Cobra's anyways? They can't turn or handle adverse weather conditions (you know, the kind you have in REAL life) like an Evo, so screw em. I averaged 10mpg in my Cobra, thanks Ford
If all you want is a highway terror or drag monster, there are better cars to choose from in the same price range as an Evo. I've given up drag racing and am going to start road racing this year; it should be exciting.
