once u start learning about Japan's sports cars you'll see the 240(aka silvia) is a toy compared to the Evo,Sti and the Corvette of Japan the GT-R

the GT-R is a beast...twin turbo straight 6 with well over 300 HP even though it is rated at 276 like the Evo and Sti..and an AWD system that was computer controled long before the Evo and Sti

FYI...i would have a GT-R if money was no object but it is so i get an Evo

I think 2001 was the last good year for the maxima. From their on it got way soft and has no sport left in it with the exception of the HP and TQ.

My 2 cents

yea it does weigh a lot
but those engines....oh man you can get them really high into those HP numbers
of course the new one's nissan is making is gonna be different
using the VQ engine that's in the 350Z i believe and just dropping a TT in it if memory serves me correct, haven't been keeping up to date with the GT-R

Anyways.....

I just heard back from my dealer in the Seattle, WA area (Walker's Renton). He said they are getting 1 EVO in the Febuary shipment and they are taking bids on it. The frickin' thing is already up to $36k!!!

However he said they will get between 12-15 for the year. I say just wait a few extra months and the price gouging won't be so outa control. Also, since this is not a limited production car, you should be able to order one from the factory the way you like it. It may take 6-9 months to arrive, but either way you'll get your car if you want it.
