I am also considering changing the bulbs on my 8. With regards to the piaa d2s replacement bulbs, how much brighter are they? I have seen some aftermarket hids that could light up the whole street. Are the piaa bulbs like this?

Actually, our stock is as bright as your gonna get because of the color output. The higher the Kelvin rating (more blue or purple) will actually take away from the "brightness" of the light.

FWIW, here's a pic of my 5800K bulbs which are not PIAA.

turbowill, the only difference between the 2 cars is the bulb temp. there are 4 diff temps for HID bulbs. purple color is the brightest & highest temp 10000k. a shop in Japan sells them for your car. search my friend

there's this one question i want to ask for a long time... i have a 05' GSR and it doesn't come with HID package which means no fog light as well.. if i purchase the HID lets say it comes together with the fog light is it hard to install? consider that i do not have the fog light switch to begin with.... pls help
