Question Sparco Harness bar 4 evo

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone out there has a sparco harness bar installed into their car or has installed one. I wanted to know A) how it fits, B) how much it restricts the seat from moving back (both *** part and back part), and C) where you got yours from.

Thanks alot,
EvoMike

Thanks to NINELEGS from Evo-NY.com

Its hard to see the bar but thats the best shot I have, never thought of taking one of the back seat. Trust me there is plenty of room in the back seat, it does not interfear with the back seat room at all really at all. Wish i had a better pic but this is better then nothing.

you can buy them from Logicperformance, and z1auto I know, I'm sure other venders have them too.
Here is a pic off logicperformances website:

Hope this helps...

Does it require cutting the Piller to mount up? Any pics of where the 4 points bolt in?

Looks nice BTW

THe sparco harness bar is a very nice piece. It bolts right up. It doesn't allow your seats to go all the way back but they do go most of the way back. The farther you lean your seat back the less it can go back. It doesn't allow the up and down movement of the upper seatbelt mounts. We sell them for 399.99 Shipped inside the 48 states.

The 4 point harnesses connect on the top by "wrapping" them around the harness bar. and the bottoms connect where the stock seat belts connect on the bottom.

much better, should have taken a pic like that, just looks like it takes away the back seat room in that pic.

I purchased mine from Fizz Autosports in New York. Paid $390 for it. The fitment is beautiful and allows for complete forward and rearward slide of the seats. Reclining is almost eliminated though.

Hey,

I think I saw you at the evo-ny meet in alley pond, ny. I remember those seats b/c I took a pic of them, dont think you had that harness bar in yet though. Looking good do you have any more pics that I can see?

yeah i got my harness bar from hkfeet. i had it installed in one hour at night in the dark with nothing but the dome light (if that gives an idea of how easy it is. someone mentioned that it restricts the up and down movement of the stock seatbelt shoulder strap mount thingy and that is correct as well (not that i ever adjust it anyway). installation is not completely bolt in as the covers for the top mounting location do not fit back on without cutting away some excess plastic on the inside of the part. i can try to take some pictures when i get a chance if your interested. as for restricting the seat movement, unless your driving in the way improper position (i.e. reclined seat and slide way far back), you will have no problems. i have a good 4-5 inches between the bar and the back of my seat and i'm 6' tall. i try to sit in an upright position and locate my seat in the proper "Racing" location such that my wrist can touch the top of the steering wheel with my back all the way into the seat.

i have sparco 5 point harnesses in mine but i don't have the sub belt mounted yet (this weekend project). i still use the factory belt on a daily driver use, but will be autocrossing/DE/track days quite often so the harnesses will come in handy.

oh and not sure if anyone knows this but the new sparco harnesses are made by schroth, not sabelt. 3" cam lock belts... very nice
