Question Question for you oil freaks

I have been doing my oil changes with Mobil 1 10w-30. Thats what the owners manual says to use.
I am interested in trying Royal Puple.. Please let me know what you think of both. Which is better, or are they the same?
Also if you know an oil that is better than these two listed.

I've tried both. I can't really speak of which "feels" better but the royal purple is dyno proven to free up whp. Its not much, but enough to make me want to buy and use the oil.

Well I have used the Royal Purple in my past race cars and its great. You need to becarful
using it on new cars due to some of the silicone sealers that thay use.It might leak. I use
mobil 1 in my evo a 0w/30 and I would stick with that.

Royal Purple is good stuff, albeit super expensive. I would just recommend doing frequent oil changes with the standard brands. As long as the oil is kept clean, and changed frequently, you're in the clear

Valid points. Its like maybe 2 or 3 whp, all it does is decrease the coefficient of friction from the crank to the wheels increasing your cars ability to put more power down to the wheels. But like they said, it ain't broke so don't fix it. Its up to you...but if you drive hard? no question RP.

I just picked some up this past weekend, and waiting to get to a dealer to pick up an oil filter so I can do a change.
My buddy has an STI and swears by it. Summit Racing $5 and some change a quart.

Royal Purple is the ****. Another benefit is it lowers operating temperatures. I used Racing 21 in my race bike last season. This motor is serious, over 8K in parts alone and after a season of use it looked brand new. I've got 3 drums of the purple stuff now and I put it in everything.
