i just got my evo8 not so long ago, and i was wondering when people start having problems with there evo, like how many miles untill you had to get a tune up. i just want too know so i can be prepare for the future.

 

I had mine since Oct 2003. No problem for almost 20000 miles.

 

When are we recommended too get a tune up?

 

they would suggest 5,000 miles under normal driving conditions.

others will tell you every 2,000 miles under harsh driving conditions.

i go every 3,500 miles or so.

 

Define tune up... i get my oil lube filter done roughly every 3000 miles

I tune mine about every 10k miles. Just got a custom Dynoflash tune at 17k.

wow 100,000 miles i got nothing too worry about for a long time , well anything could happen.

 

o sorry 10,000 miles. lol i only got 70miles on my right now.

 

if u change the oil every 3000-5000miles and do the schedule maintemance in time( tranny fluid, etc) , and if u dont beat the crap out of it 24/7 the car will last a long long time.
