Yes, it was red.
The EVO?!?!?

WTF, of course the car has limits, all cars do... what about the imcompitance of the driver?

It's more a problem with the driver, than the car itself.

Okay bro - ive already said that all this happened because of my stupidity. I have learned from my mistakes. We all arent perfect, neither are you. It happens - you have to learn from it. I am not a wreckless driver - this was just one time where I got a little too excited and didnt see the road was turning. Now im paying from it.

yeah man, it was a general statement to all those that think they're "invincible" in their car.

He knows he isn't and wasn't trying to be, but many others out there have the "nothing will happen, i've done 100 on the freeway before and nothing happened, so i'll do it everyday and i'll be fine" mentality, that needs some damn work.

you wanna play, take it to the track.

My criticism is not directed to the driver per se, but to the moronic statement that it was the car's fault and not the driver.

[edit]
I will give a for the own admitting that he screwed up....

no, and in reading my statement, i thought you'd easily see the pun intended.

OBVIOUSLY it can't make the corner at the speed that was being traveled, i realize that.

Having only been amongst evo people for a short time on this forum, and in person, some people kinda feel like the evo is "the car", ya know?

sorry for any misstatement.

With the advent of the few new crashes being said on the forum, I believe it would be a great idea that the owners take a road/race course, from a valid scca type school. I'm not trying to be funny or flame.Just as new ricerocket riders crash & burn so do those who don't know how to control their cars in a panic, or on everyday roads. I believe any super car should not have the keys delivered in the hands of the owner until they have some expirience behind the wheel of their ride whether motorcycle, boat, plane or car. Knowledge is king

Just a heads up to any mods, may want to change it out of respect to a valued vendor here.

+1

I agree

You even spelled "wreck" correctly (instead of "reck") this time. The problem I have with the thread is that the first post says someone was KILLED in an EVO wreck, and then we come to find out he was fine.

Please don't post alarmist nonsense like that.

We all make mistakes, and finding out how fast your evo is on the road is a mistake waiting to happen. If any of you in the state of Florida want to find out how quick your evo is on a road course then sign up with one of the driver ed car clubs here in Florida. Performance-Drivers-Club.com is a good one. We offer in car instruction at all three road courses in florida (Sebring, Moroso, and Homestead. It is inexpensive, safe and a blast. Go to the web site and take a look.
