Why would you get a boost controller before the tune?

Boost controller comes AFTER the tuning...you could do it before tuning if you like but intake and tuning MUST go together...or you could get stalling issues plus loss of hp...

i have NEVER stalled with my intake and neither have my other evo buddies. One was having stalling problems, but we linked those problems to the turboxs rfl vta bov. He changed to a greddy type-s recirculated and took the small spring out, and he hasn't stalled since.

none of my evo buddies have tunes yet either.

from what i've read from other threads i've heard of stalling issues from mostly vta bov's

Vishnu has 500 hp evos with the stock airbox. I believe our OEM intake system is fine for the stock turbo. It may benefit a little bit if you're pushing lots of boost, but the intake is going to be the least of your priorities then. I say TBE for sure, you'll see nice gains on the butt dyno, and the sound is sweet!

Sorry but you are only a sample size of one...believe me, a LOT of people have stalling issues with a full intake...

OK Three is better than One...

Anyway, it does depend on intake type/vendor/product...but there have been stalling issues with various types of intakes...also, the HP output and torque goes DOWN in some cases....

Ok so months after posting this thread I finally got a K&N drop in filter and I'm ordering a Defi boost gauge. So my question is this...........What should be my next mod? MBC? Tunning? Just keep in mind I DO NOT want to upgrade my exhaust at this point meaning no DP,HFC,or Cat-back so no TBE!!!!!!! Mabye in years down the line but ot now.

You're doing well so far. After you get the boost gauge, get a Hallman Pro MBC and set it at 20-21psi on 93oct. After that, go for a mail-in or custom flash. That will give you at least 20whp and will be undetectable...
