wiper fluid all over hood...
I washed my car on Thursday for the first time since I bought it. It's been raining her in NorCal for the last 2 weeks almost non-stop. I didn't notice any chips or unusual engine fluids on the car when I was cleaning it. But later that night when I pulled into the garage I noticed that there was blue windshield wiper fluid/concentrate all over the hood. It was all around the edges of the scoop, down the side of the car and all over the driver side of the hood. It looked like it had been leaking out of the driver side nozzle. I got a warm wet cloth and cleaned it off. Next morning I come out and it looks like it has been slowly dripping out of the nozzle and onto the hood all night. I cleaned it up all the blue fluid but noticed there are 2 faint yellow stains now on the paint where the fluid had been dripping down. So I got two questions...
1.) What can I use to safely take of those little yellow stains?
2.) Has anybody ever had this problem with wiper fluid leaking out of one of the jet nozzles? If so, how did you fix it?

try using some paint clay, and polish. Several coats of a good polish may do it, but it is hard to tell b/c i don't know what it looks like on your hood. check out www.griotsgarage.com for their paint clay and polish. i use their stuff, and it is a lot better than mcguires and all of that other cheap stuff. it's worth a try, but even if it doesn't work, you still have some kick *** cleaning supplies to use.

Thanks for the info guys. Any idea what's causing the wiper fluid to overflow? I looked under the hood with a flashlight to see if it was a leak where the line meets the bottom of the nozzle but everything looks clean. Nothing spilled on the engine as fas as I could tell. Could it be air in the line or something like that? Seems like such a small thing to take it to a dealer for so I'd just assume fix it on my own and be done with it.

There should be a little hole on the resivior cap or somewhere on the top of the resivoir to let air breathe, it is most likely clogged which is why your nozzles seep fluid onto your hood..
