I have the Greddy Ti and I think its awesome. At idle, it sounds real nice, and at WOT, its deep and pretty loud. It doesn't sound like an old man farting like some of the EVO exhaust systems. However, it is quite a bit louder then stock. My bro says he can hear me coming from a few blocks away. Anyways, I got a really good deal on this exhaust system, so thats why I bought it. I'm sure u can find a turbo-back exhaust for about the same amount as the greddy ti, but if u really want a bad *** exhaust, u should really consider this one. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...ytiexhaust.htm RRE has pics and a few clips of the greddy ti, so check it out and decide for yourself. Good luck!

since everyone is talkin about the greddy ti, lots of the details have already been revealed. ti is thinner so lots louder but the best thing is it's only loudest at low rpms... very very nice drone/grunt. when you get higher the exhaust gets a lil lower but you hear more engine i guess that's how you'd describe it. i actually have had the chance of listening to a couple. both without cats and i'd say there's no other exhaust that i'd spend my money on.

if you're interested in other ti offerings. hks makes a gt spec ti catback but there's some fitment issues for usdm evos. they run a resonated and unresonated version and they don't have the bung for the sensor (greddy does).

fujitsuobo has a full line of titanium catbacks that are resonated to varying degrees and they save lots of weight and are quiter than stock. most of the jdm exhausts you'll find are nothing more than 2.75 inches. they're not big on turbospool they like the torque.

i have yet to find something that matches the greddy ti... (yes i know about the magnaflow and the hks carbon ti and the jic spartan and the fujitsubos and the monster sports all the stuff available at bulletproofautomotive.com and even the bozz and auto produce boss, although the last two are highly custom) just nothing out there, someone dropped the right info on them and they made the exact product that everyone wants. hands down. to find something better is a task and i've been workin' hard at it for REALS. everything else is not only more expensive sometimes two times so, but also does not offer the right diameter etc. this thing is no holds barred all performance.

btw the greddy ti is not only the right measurement for maximum performance but it's also full mandrel bent which is very expensive and it's welded very cleanly not to mention it's a looker, the rolled lip one... SHYAH!

I have the Greddy Ti as well and I love it. Sounds nice and deep but if your looking for a quite exhaust dont get this one. The exhaust comes up short and will make your bumper turn yellow. I highly recommend you extend it like I did. Here is a sound clip of just the catback with out the exhaust mod. Havent had time to record a turbo back clip yet.

Derek888,

How did you extend your Greddy Ti, with a spacer at the cat? You should post up for those who might want to do the same.

The shop welded a extension on the the test pipe in the middle part, no spacers. I thought about spacers but that would look ghetto and might leak because I probably would need about 3 or 4 of them.

I think the bottom line to your post is.......no real difference in performance, just weight factor but the weight factor doesn't justify the cost. It comes down to the bragging and what's "in" right now. Since it seems like your in a budget, get a stainless steel exhaust and save the rest for a good downpipe. For example (see I said example) if you have a 3'" stainless steel pipe and another 3" titanium pipe, how can there be any difference in performance if they are both the same diameter?

I just put a Tanabe Ultra Medalion on my Evo. Without a cat it sounds good, not too loud for me. It defintely added power. 10 hp easy, probably more like 15 with the test pipe. It weighs about 20 lbs but it lines up with the bumper unlike the Greddy and the muffler is titanium unlike the HKS.

I'm going the Tanabe route in about a week as well. Nice piece, sounds good...but a bit pricey like all Ti's.

Hate to break it to you, but the Tanabe Ultra Medallion is not 100% titanium, just the muffler section.

Yea, I knew that (after seeing one I figured it)...I still like it, even though it isn't cheap.

Wasn't trying to flame you BTW. The Greddy Ti isn't 100% titanium either. The muffler band clamp and hanger are SS I think.

I figured...no worries here. It's actually a good thing to clear up for people looking at Ti exhausts.
